Nigel passed away on 3rd September 2024, following a heart attack and cardiac arrest.
As a family we are devastated. It has been a complete shock and we are just so sad.
As well as being a family man, we know how important Nigel’s work was to him, and what a difference he made in the organisations he worked for. Nigel was a great advocate for people with lived experience of mental health services, and understood from his own experience the impact of mental ill-health on individuals and their families. Nigel was a compassionate and kind person, who kept the experiences of children and adults with lived experience at the centre of his work.
The world has lost a truly incredible man. Nigel will be remembered, and in our hearts, forever.
In Nigel's memory, rather than flowers, if you are able to donate to Kingston Mind, we would be very grateful.
Thank you
For Nigel and for all his fantastic work. What a wonderful man xx
From the Learning disability and autism team at Surrey Heartlands who had the privilege of sharing Nigels last few months with him. He made a huge difference in a short time and we miss his sense of humour, his wisdom and his kindness.
To a kind and beautiful soul, a physical loss but always present in our minds and hearts. We love you Nigel❤️.
